Diagnosed at a field hospital on the Ukrainian border with a severe heart condition, 5-year-old Karina was brough – through Israel’s ‘Save A Child Heart’ organization – to the Jewish state for life-saving heart surgery. Over 6,600 children from countries around the world suffering from heart disease, including those with no bilateral relations with Israel – make the journey to Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, to receive life-saving care.
