“Sister States”. Hailing new era in Israel-Ecuador ties, Israel’s President, Isaac Herzog hosts Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso.

From his car window in Jerusalem last month, the writer was struck  by a colourful but unfamiliar flag flying from street poles in the capital. A few days later  all was revealed with Israel’s  warm welcome of Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso.Were the flags  fluttering in the Jerusalem wind signifying a more politically climatic “Winds of Change”  across Latin America in its relations with Israel?
